Alexisonfire, PUP and METZ Announce Toronto Show

The Canadian heavyweights will perform at Budweiser Stage on June 16

The ultimate trio of Canadian post-hardcore, punk and alternative bands — Alexisonfire, PUP and METZ — have announced plans for a special one-off live event at Toronto's Budweiser Stage this summer.

Much like when contemporaries Sum 41, Gob and the OBGMs did their takeover of the venue last year, the three fellow Canadian heavyweights will convene on June 16 for AOF's first show back at the waterfront venue since their two-day run there in 2019 following the Raptors' NBA Championship win.

Having spent much of last summer and fall on the road with METZ in support of their latest record Otherness — their first new album in 13 years, which arrived June 24, 2022, via Dine Alone Records — the five-piece's return will a homecoming of sorts, with the band's most recent appearance in Toronto being their heroic free performance at History back in April 2022 (with support from Chastity).

An artist presale for this once-in-a-lifetime lineup begins Tuesday, January 24, at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. You can also get your hands on tickets during the general sale, which begins Friday, January 27, at 10 a.m. ET.

In the meantime, revisit our interview with the band upon the release of Otherness — one of Exclaim!'s Best Albums of 2022 — and relive the magic of Alexisonfire's History performance through photos here.
